About Harvey Simon Flooring

Commercial and domestic flooring contractors based in Worcester. Every job done in-house, every sub-floor prepared properly, and every installation carried out to the same standard.

Fifteen Years of Doing It Properly

Harvey started this business because he believed flooring was being done badly and he wanted to do it right. Over 15 years later, that is still the driving principle. We have worked in live hospital wards, busy school corridors, care homes, factories, and high-end homes, and the standard has never changed depending on the job. We do not subcontract.

We do not cut corners on the sub-floor. We turn up when we say we will. That is not a marketing claim, it is just how we run the business, and always has been.

How We Work

We start every job with a site visit. We look at what is there, tell you exactly what it needs, and give you a clear, honest quote. There are no hidden extras, no vague estimates, and no surprises when the invoice arrives.

We handle all sub-floor preparation ourselves before any covering goes down, and we keep you updated throughout so you always know where things stand. If the job needs to happen overnight or at a weekend to hit a deadline, that is what we do. We do not send a salesman to your site and we do not pass the job on to someone else once it is booked in. The people you speak to at the start are the same people who turn up and do the work. That is how we have always operated and it is not something we are willing to change. When the job is done, we do not disappear. If something is not right, we come back and we sort it.

Pride in Every Floor We Fit

When the job is done, the floor has to be right. Not nearly right, not good enough given the deadline. Right. Every installation we complete is checked before we leave the site, and we will not walk away from a job we are not satisfied with.

Whether we have been fitting safety flooring in a hospital ward or laying Karndean in a family kitchen, the standard we hold ourselves to does not change depending on the size of the contract or the size of the client. Harvey built this business on his reputation and every floor we fit either adds to it or takes away from it. We choose to add to it every single time.

Why Trust Harvey Simon Flooring?

Good flooring starts long before the first tile goes down. Here is what we bring to every job.

Dedicated and Dependable

We turn up exactly when we say we will. If hitting your deadline means working through the night, that is exactly what we will do, no fuss and no excuses.

The Sub-Floor Is Never Skipped

Every installation starts with proper sub-floor preparation, including epoxy DPMs and self-levelling compounds. We never cut this step because the finish depends entirely on it.

Featured Project

Live Environment Refit: Herons Park Nursing Home

Commercial refits in sensitive, live environments like care homes demand more than just standard floor fitting. They require respect, cleanliness, and specialist product knowledge. For Herons House in Kidderminster, the client needed to upgrade a resident's room and ensuite to improve both the aesthetics and the safety of the space, without causing any disruption to the people living there. We uplifted the old materials and installed Scala impervious-backed commercial carpet to prevent moisture seeping through to the sub-floor, paired with Altro Aquarius safety flooring in the ensuite, a specialist product engineered specifically for barefoot use in wet rooms. The finished space was tidier, more practical, harder wearing, and delivered with complete respect for the care home environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do your flooring services cost?

Pricing depends on the type of installation, the product selected, and the sub-floor preparation required. Sub-floor preparation is included in every quote as standard, not added as an extra. Use our Quick Quote Calculator for a rough estimate, or get in touch and we will arrange a free site survey.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Worcester and cover a 30-mile radius for domestic work and smaller projects. For larger commercial and industrial contracts we travel nationwide. Get in touch and we will be straight with you about whether the job works geographically.

Do you use subcontractors?

No, never. Every installation is carried out by our own in-house team. Harvey runs a tight operation and the same people who prepare the sub-floor are the ones who fit the finished product. One team, one standard, every time.

Does your service include sub-floor preparation?

Yes, always. Sub-floor preparation is mandatory on every installation we carry out. We handle all self-levelling smoothing compounds, plyboarding, and diamond floor grinding in-house before any floor covering goes down.

What types of businesses do you work with?

We work across a wide range of sectors including hospitals, care homes, schools, offices, warehouses, factories, and building and construction companies. If the job is the right fit, we will take it on and do it properly.

Can you work to strict commercial deadlines?

Yes. We understand that in commercial environments deadlines have real consequences. If the job needs to be done overnight or at a weekend to hit a handover date, we will make that work. It is one of the things we are known for.
